Salut! Bordeaux baiting

Why Bordeaux baiting? “What the f*** would Chamakh do at Sunderland? You have heard him say he will only sign for a big English club. I don’t want to insult Sunderland, but I don’t even know where they finished last season.” - Jean-Louis Triaud, president of "big club" Bordeaux.

Triaud and his manager, Laurent Blanc, say Sunderland are not a big enough club for Marouane Chamakh:

So: league position 30/12/09: Bordeaux 1st; Sunderland 10th (in a much stronger league)

But: average home attendances: Bordeaux 29,746; Sunderland 40,552

And: top flight championships: Bordeaux 6; Sunderland 6
